Student Success

During my internship, I gained invaluable experience and insight into the operations at Columbus Regional Hospital. I was able to put course content and theories discussed in the classroom into action by generating cost and financial reports and internal auditing. It helped me understand what employers are looking for in today’s job market.

Internships

All business majors complete an experiential learning course as a part of the degree requirements. A study-abroad experience or a collaborative research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor are options but many students seek an internship opportunity.

Participating in a student internship is a great way to clarify and solidify your career goals. It's also an excellent opportunity to network with potential employers in Columbus and throughout the region.

Internships enable you to apply theories learned in the classroom to real-world business settings. They are also excellent opportunities for resume-building and better employment prospects after graduation.

Student Requirements

If you are a Division of Business undergraduate who would like to complete an internship for academic credit.

  • Ask your advisor about the proposal form that is required from you and your employer/supervisor to describe the work or project you will complete.
  • We will review the form to ensure that the position meets university standards for student internships.
  • You must complete at least 100 hours of work for your internship to receive the credit required for graduation.

Prospective Employers
